Hertfordshire Mavericks Coach Workshops are your opportunity as a coach or teacher, to observe and be involved with Superleague Coaches, Performance Pathway Coaches and Specialists working in Performance netball.

Wednesday 28th January

Academy Workshop

This workshop will focus   on -
  a) The coaching topic is “dictating the opponent’s attacking movements”
  b)  What the coach is seeing and how   they adapt the practice, feedback and improve the players
  c)  Clarity on the ideal visual model   of the coaching topic

 

Monday 16th February

18.30—21.30

Strength & Conditioning (with Mavs S&C Coach)

Oaklands College,  St Albans, AL4 0JA

This workshop will   relate to netball training sessions with the coach being able to   deliver  S&C within a session by
  a) Providing knowledge and understanding of key muscle groups and the impact   of strength training for a performance athletes.
  b) Exploring different mechanical exercises and how to detect deficiencies in   movement, you will be able to assist athletes’ physical performance in the   competitive game of Netball.
  c) Enhancing structured exercises, building a strength & conditioning programme   and learning how to tailor exercises to meet the needs of individual   athletes.

Match Play Analysis  ** including match   v Celtic Dragons

This workshop will focus   on
  a) Observing recorded and live match play and identifying needs of the   players within the match and the feedback required of individual players,   units and the team.
  b) Setting and planning the training sessions post the match play to meet the   needs observed within the match play
